Severin Laeuchli is the chair of the institute of dermatology of the City Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland, where he has established one of the major centers for Mohs Surgery in Switzerland, as well as a founding member of the dermatologic center Zurich, a private institution dedicated to Mohs surgery. He was trained in Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Zurich, with additional training in Mohs Surgery in different centers in the USA, as well as training in Internal Medicine and Angiology (vascular medicine). He started the first Mohs surgery service in Zurich in 2006. In addition to being president of the ESMS, he is the current chairman of the Swiss working group for Dermatosurgery.

Dr. Ostertag is a dermatologist specializing in cutaneous oncology and surgery at the Catherina Hospital in Eindhoven, Netherlands. She is also an expert in medical and cosmetic laser therapy. Dr.. Ostertag is closely involved in the drafting of the national guidelines for laser treatments. She is also chairman of the committee dermatosurgery and lasers, medical advisor for the Nevus Network Netherlands and Chairman of the domain group technical skills. In 2006 she obtained her PhD. The title of her thesis is: Laser resurfacing in the treatment of potential malignant skin diseases.Just optical improvement?

Dr. Van der Geer is a young enthusiastic dermatologist at the MohsA skin cancer clinic, Venray, who during her training had been great interest for dermato-oncology, dermatosurgery and phlebology. She is in her training as a dermatologist also Mohs-trained surgeon. Dr. Van de Geer has in April 2012 her thesis, entitled: Chronic Disease Management for skin cancer, successfully defended.

John Paoli is Associate Professor and a consultant dermatologist working at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg, Sweden. His current research focuses on the prevention, early diagnosis and optimal therapy of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. Dr. Paoli is currently a Board Member of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the Secretary General of the Nordic Dermatology Association and a Board Member of the International Dermoscopy Society. He is also the former President of the ESMS, former President of the Swedish Association of Dermatology and Venereology and former President of the Swedish Association for Dermatologic Surgery and Oncology.

Nisith is a Consultant Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology, London, UK. Nisith graduated from University College Hospital Medical School with class and national prizes in dermatology then worked in the main London teaching hospitals. He has had further training in cutaneous surgery and cosmetic dermatology at Vancouver General Hospital, Canada and the Oregon Health Sciences University, USA under Dr Ken Lee past Scientific Chair of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He undertook research in melanoma skin cancer for which he was a co-winner of the Everett C Fox MD award at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting. He is a board member of the British Cosmetic Dermatology Group.

Prof. Dr. med. Matthias Möhrle is a dermatologist, whose clinical and research activity is focused on dermatosurgery (micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery), phlebology and vein surgery. He studied at the Universities of Tuebingen, Bordeaux, Huntsville/Alabama and Abidjan, specialized at the University of Tuebingen and is assistant Professor since 2003. In 2005/2006 he was Professeur associé for Dermatosurgery at the University of Bordeaux. He coordinates the dermatosurgical cooperation between the University of Tuebingen and the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College/Regional Dermatology Training Centre in Moshi, Tanzania. Since 2011 Prof. Dr. Möhrle works at “Praxisklinik Tübingen – Haut und Venen”. Prof. Dr. Möhrle is a member of the German Dermatologic Society (DDG), European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology (EADV), Groupe Chirurgical of the French Dermatological Society (SFD) and board member of the European Society of Micrographic Surgery (ESMS) and the German Society for Dermatologic Surgery (DGDC). He received the Scientific Award 2013 of the DGDC for his publication “Rapid Lump Examination (RLE) – a new tool for Mohs surgery?”.

Olivier is a dermatologist and dermatological surgeon at the dermatologic surgery and laser unit of the university hospital of Bordeaux, France. He developed Mohs surgery in Bordeaux in 2004 and he is currently member of the board of the french society of dermatologic surgery. His clinical activity focuses also on nail diseases and surgery, cosmetic surgery and lasers. He is responsible of a multimedia surgical section of the french journal of dermatology.

Dr. Michael Mühlstädt is a board-certified dermatologist and venereologist who has been specialising in and focusing on dermatosurgery since 2007. He has trained in micrographic surgery (Munich Method) with Professor Kunte in Munich (Germany) and uses this method as well as the Tübingen, Muffin and Spaghetti Technique in Geneva (Switzerland) where he is the head of the Unit of Dermatosurgery and vice-chair of the Division of Dermatology at Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) since 2013.

Drs van Rooijen is a dermatologist specialized in oncology, surgery and human anatomy at the Spaarne Gasthuis in Haarlem, the Netherlands. Still working as a dissector and teacher for the neuroscience and anatomy department at the Erasmus MC university hospital in Rotterdam, and organizing anatomy and reconstructive surgery courses on their skillslab. Currently also a board member of the Dutch micrographic surgery taskforce and board member of the Dutch dermatologic surgery and lasers domain group.

John de Leeuw is a Mohs Expert at Mohs European Consulting and a Pathology Assistent/Histology technician at the Pathology lab of PATHAN in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. As Mohs technician, he is working by Bergman Clinics and responsible for the Mohs procedure and quality in this Clinic.
He is also an expert in freezing techniques for the frozen sections during the Mohs procedure. Through MohsEuropeanConsulting (started in January 2017) he gives laboratories and private clinics advice on how to start a mohs lab or efficiency/development advice for existing Mohs labs. He also helps with training on location to new and experienced Mohs analysts/lab technicians. As a LT board member of ESMS, his plans are to organize and develop an active workgroup with the goal of helping European Mohs analysts/lab technicians rise to a higher level.

Dan A.C. Murphy, HT (ASCP) is a twenty-five-year veteran of Mohs Histotechnology, and the Mohs Supervisor for Pinnacle Dermatology’s 50 Mohs labs (and growing) in the United States. In this position he established a network of Mohs labs across 10 states in which every lab is compliant to the highest standards of the US accrediting institution (CLIA). He has introduced systematic changes to electronic protocols, procedures, technical training, and general lab set up.
