Biography:
I have been working in the Skin Cancer Unit of the University of Bologna for the past 20 years, following patients from the first diagnosis of the tumor, through surgical procedures and follow-up. I am currently responsible for the Melanoma Unit, Dermatology, and Mohs surgery. In our Clinic and Dermatopathology laboratory, we receive more than 300 new melanoma diagnoses every year. At present, we follow 3000 patients with a previous melanoma diagnosis. I completed my residency and a three-year PhD program in Mohs surgery, with a strong background in oncologic dermatology, particularly melanoma. I have collaborated with pathologists and molecular biologists in research and have published over 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
