I’ve received sub-specialty trainings and courses, with an emphasis on cutaneous oncology, dermatologic surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction following the activities of the American Society of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
 

Biography

Dr Cristina Cotruta is a co-founder of Clinica Bine and Head of Dermatology Department since 2021. Her clinical and research activity is focused on oncodermatology and dermatosurgery (micrographic surgery and reconstructive surgery).

In addition to her speciality in Mohs surgery, dr Cotruta is an expert in cosmetic dermatology and general dermatology. She has authored  and co-authored many articles and scientific communications on skin cancer surgery and reconstruction.

Dr Cristina Cotruta received her medical degree from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest in 2001. In 2009 she completed the residency program in dermatology at Central Military Hospital Bucharest.

In 2009 dr Cotruta completed a Mohs surgery fellowship training at Centro de Dermatologia Medico-Cirurgica in Lisbon, Portugal under the mentorship of dr. Jose Labareda

Dr Cotruta has developed her Mohs Surgery skills by numerous preceptor visits (Johns Hopkins Cutaneous Surgery and Oncology Unit, Hospital of Medicine of the University of Philadelphia-Mohs and Reconstructive Surgery Services, Metroderm Atlanta).

From 2009 until 2011 she worked with dr.Leventer at Dermastyle Clinic and between 2011-2021 was co-founder and partner at Dermashape Clinic, Bucharest.

She is member of the European Society of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Mohs Surgery, European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
