Qualifications and Specialities
I’ve received sub-specialty trainings and courses, with an emphasis on cutaneous oncology, dermatologic surgery, Mohs micrographic surgery and reconstruction following the activities of the American Society of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
I also participate in:

  • Hugh Greenway’s 31st Annual Superficial Anatomy and Cutaneous Surgery Conference
  • Blade and Light International Society courses “Mohs surgery in Treatment of Skin Cancer” held in Bucharest – Romania by the team of Dr. Dan Berg.

Starting with 2011, I have performed more than 500 cases of Mohs surgery together with my colleague Dr. Cristina Cotruta who has been trained in Mohs Surgery by Dr. Jose Labareda in Egas Moniz hospital - Serviço de Dermatologia.
Since 2011 until now, we have improved our Mohs surgery skills by numerous preceptor visits:

Biography
I’m co-owner and practitioner in Dermashape – Dermatological Medical and Surgical Private Clinic – since 2011. Prior to starting my own clinic, I was practicing with Dr. Leventer in her private clinic since 2007. In addition, I’m medical consultant at Skin Vision (skin cancer prevention software) – Amsterdam, Netherlands, since 2011. I was also member of the medical committee of the Greek Embassy in Romania (2006-2008). 
I’m a board-certified dermatologist and venereologist after successful completion of my dermatology board examination given by the Romanian Ministry of Public Health. I received my residency training at Central Military Hospital - Bucharest, Romania (2001-2007). 
I attended the “Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy – Faculty of Medicine” in Bucharest, Romania, and obtained my medical degree in 2000. In 2001, after a national board examination, my medical degree was recognized by the Hellenic Ministry of Public Health; I was member of the Athenian Medical Society between 2001 and 2004. At the “Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy”, I obtained my PhD title in medical sciences in 2014 with the subject “Studies and researches regarding the principles and dynamics of mobilization in the cutaneous tissue after the excision of epithelial tumors”.
